Lessons at ROC Friese Poort

Today we went to ROC Friese Poort again. We arrived on time, at 9.00. We had a seat in a classroom of the older building of the school. We were to take part in a lesson, we could choose between Dutch grammar and English. I chose the Dutch grammar lesson. I did not understand it of course, but the students laughed a lot.

After a short break later the teacher made little mixed groups of Dutch and Hungarian students. We had to teach a song to each other in our language. There were were four of us in my group, three Dutch girls and me. I taught "Janos bacsi keljen fel" (vater Jacob) and they taught me "Head and shoulder knees and toes" in Dutch of course. It was very funny, because it was impossible to say the  words right.

Finally, every group sang the song to the others. After another break, Sien, a teacher of ROC Friese Poort, offered us suiker brood, which means "sugar bread" in Dutch. She told us that it was a Frisian specialty. I liked it. Then had to pick a picture that told something about us and we had to explain why we chose that picture.

After the lessons some of us looked around the market of Leewarden. We didn't stay too long because it was a bit cold so we went back to the accommodation to cook and have lunch. Then we had a rest because Amsterdam is waiting for us!
