And the day has come! We were really looking forward to visiting Amsterdam, the city of tolerance and diversity! :)
This day also started very early. Everybody was tired but we were excited. We went by train at 8:14 and after a two hour and fourty five minute journey we arrived at Amsterdam Cenrtal Station. First we felt that it was like Budapest, but then when we walked into the centre of Amsterdam, it was busier and crazier. First we went to the Dam square, where we split into smaller groups.
We could do what we wanted, some went to museums, others went shopping, or just walking. We saw the Madame Tussaud's museum, the Nieuwe Kerk, shops, caffes in Dam square. There are a lot of museums in Amsterdam, from a beer museum to a tulip museum, and of course the red light district. There are shopping centres, lots of suvenier shops, markets, the famous flower market, a lot of channel, restaurants, fast food restaurants and coffee shops.
Everybody bought what they wanted, gifts, suveniers and Dutch specalties. By time we had to go back to the Dam Square we had all bought a lot of things and saw enough for that day.
Our train back to Grou left aroung half past six. At the station we said goodbye to our teachers, and got on the train. Of course, we almost missed the train at transfer without the teachers, but finally we got home safely. Tired, but happy, everbody went to bed relax.:))
